Title: POS Installation Specialist
Location: Remote within the US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform systems installation at client sites working closely with the Lead Specialist.
- Prepare for onsite installations by:
- Reviewing all documentation provided by the Implementation Specialist or Lead Specialist.
- During the onsite installation:
- Complete assigned tasks and support other onsite resources resulting in a successful installation
- Submit daily status emails to the Lead Specialist.
- Report and document customer issues in email to the Lead Specialist.
- When a lead is not assigned to an installation.
- Review documentation provided by Implementation Specialist
- Create customer specific site agendas for hardware installation and testing and staff training.
- Complete and submit daily status emails to the Implementation Specialist.
- Document customer issues in email with Implementation Specialist.
- Write and submit detail trip report within x days of onsite.
- Complete special projects, as assigned; project may include maintenance programming database administration, testing, quality assurance, documentation, installations/upgrades, or UGC.
- Work closely with supporting teams including support and product management.
- Submit daily workload metrics in time tracking tool.
Who you’ll work with:

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or related 3 to 5 years of experience.
- Experience in POS system installations and/or support a plus.
- Working knowledge of MSSQL and MySQL, a plus.
- Good writing and communication skills.
- Good people relations and interpersonal skills.
- Good time management, decision-making, and organization skills.
- Good ability to multi-task and change tasks and focus, as needed.
- Good case management skills.
- Intermediate skills in using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficient in training others.
- Self-directed with ability to follow process, meet deadlines and quality expectations.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Position requires a high level of thoroughness and accuracy.
What’s good to know:
- Home office environment when not traveling.
- Able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
- Majority of time spent at customer sites; need to withstand long hours standing and walking; working in tight spaces; need to climb ladders; work can be in attics, roofs, basements, and crawl spaces.
- There can be up to 20 days/month business travel during the busy season with associated physical demands.
- Driver license is required.
