As the Chief Architect you will lead a team of software and infrastructure architects, providing technical leadership for the design and development of SaaS products. You are responsible for the overall architectural vision of the Transact + CBORD. You will work with multiple product teams across four verticals, delivering enterprise architecture, application architecture, cloud infrastructure design, data design, and build vs buy research.

Salary Range: $190,000 – $215,000

What You’ll be Doing

Manage a team of software and infrastructure architects, providing technical leadership and oversight for new and existing SaaS products across multiple teams in the company. You are also responsible for scouting talent, mentoring and upskilling architects, through training and fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Establishing Architectural Standards: Define and maintain the overall architecture of enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT strategy. You are expected to collaborate with VPs, PMs, POs, and Dev. Managers to translate business requirements into technical architectures and solutions. These include development of enterprise-grade product architectures, designs, integrations, and documentation for product delivery teams and cross-product lines.

Design and develop our Cloud Native ecosystem by staying updated with emerging technologies and evaluate their impact on products. Interface with vendors and cloud providers (Azure and AWS). Maintaining comprehensive design and document standards, including protocols for automation and testing.

Define operations and security implementation strategies in collaboration with product teams. Develop and present proposals for product innovation and optimization, including 'build versus buy' decisions. Work with the CISO office to oversee security and compliance products and practices across teams.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • 12 years in the software industry.
  • 5+ years managing teams building and operating cloud software.(AWS and Azure preferred)
  • 3+ years experience in building and operating cloud native SaaS products
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Proficiency in modern product delivery patterns (Microservices, Event-based architectures, Distributed computing, infrastructure as code, CI/CD).
  • Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, OAuth, SAML, and other standard protocols.
  • Ability to code in one or more modern languages for POC development and research and an overall understanding of the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Practical knowledge of shell scripting and at least one higher-level language such as Python, Clojure, Ruby, Groovy, etc.
  • Experience with security and compliance products.
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring technical teams.
  • Ability to manage conflicts and foster a positive team culture.
  • Strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to author technical and application design and issue documents, conduct technical and application presentations to technical and non-technical staff

Preferred Experience:

  • Certification or demonstrable experience in fully automated cloud native software delivery.
  • Significant experience with relevant products in the cloud-native landscape (https://landscape.cncf.io/)
  • Extensive experience in CI/CD tools and modern practices like GitOps

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions.
