The Transact Proposal Management team is responsible for ensuring that our clients and prospects receive high quality bids that maximize revenue generation and ensures clients get a solution that will meet their needs. This role will own the RFP response process from release to submission. While this role is US based, you may be responsible for completing RFPs from any country.

Title: Proposal Management
Location: Remote within the US
The RFP Response Manager is an individual contributor on the team. They will play an integral role in the success of the group. Specifically, s/he will be responsible for:
- Manage/Lead all aspects of RFP/Tender and coordination, including acting as a liaison with all business units needed to provide information to complete the bid/tender requirements (finance, security, compliance, legal, HR, etc.).
- Create/Update detailed RFP/Tender response project plans, templates and timelines with the goal of delivering a winning submission that creates maximum value.
- Own the RFP response – You are responsible for holding all response team members accountable for deliver quality content on time.
- Ensure RFP/Tender performance reporting and forecasting is accurate and timely.
- Monitor client communication and responses during preparation of tender.
- Lead qualification and planning calls to understand the complete project, history, win themes, potential red flags, and gain agreement on project milestones and deliverables.
- Quickly identify those areas of the RFP/Tender response that will require additional work, clarification or escalation to ensure we can meet submission deadlines.
- Provide edit and addendum management (escalating when milestones are missed) and communicating impact to the project.
- Compiling edits and comments into a single draft document while maintaining version control.
- Provide expert bid response strategy.
- Edit or write non-functional responses as needed.
- Stay current on proposal best practices and market trends.
Required Skills:
- Proposal Management subject matter expertise (or equivalent)
- Bid Strategy subject matter expertise (or equivalent)
- Ability to train and coach more junior team members.
- Ability to independently solve complex problems.
- Ability to influence without authority.
- A self-motivated, quick learner, who has a desire to win business through the RFP process. Understands Sales tactics and methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree desired—with preference given to additional Project Management or Proposal Management Certification (APMP)
- Minimum 4+ years proposal coordination experience and/or project management experience having worked with multiple internal/external groups among all levels of an organization.
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience writing sales proposals and/or responding to RFPs.
- Experience writing large scale, complex bids for US$ 500K+ value with proven success.
- Proven ability to manage time, multi-task and excel in a deadline-oriented environment while supporting several proposal projects simultaneously.
- Software skill requirements:
- Microsoft Word: Expert word-processing skills. Extensive experience with styles, mid-to-high level formatting techniques, and editing drafts for format, appearance, and consistency with corporate styles.
- Microsoft Outlook: advanced skills.
- Microsoft Excel: high level
- Online Collaborations tools – proficient running an online meeting.
Preferred Skills:
- PMP or equivalent certification.
- Previous experience in the education industry and e-learning technologies
- Understanding of public and private procurement and proposal processes preferred.
- Global Procurement experience
